TAB 2008–09

The 2008–09 Teen Advisory Board was involved in executing two main projects throughout the year, focusing on expanding awareness and attracting high school students to The Noguchi Museum. In the winter, TAB organized an event for their INterpret project, which featured food, music, and giveaways along with a collaborative art project organized by Free Style Arts Association. High school students worked together to create mural art as well as a multimedia movie. For INsight, TAB executed an interactive project where they sent out postcards with an image and quote of Noguchi’s work, inviting readers to write their reactions and send it back to the museum. Some of these responses were posted on the TAB blog, http://noguchitab.blogspot.com/, and compiled into a book. The blog was updated throughout the year to reflect on ongoing projects and events of the TAB program. Members also participated in a field trip to the Bronx Museum of the Arts and met with their teen council members.
