Making Your Mark 2023

Self-Discovery
Exhibition on view in the Education Studio (Level C)
July 28 – August 11, 2023

Making Your Mark is a paid summer art-making program for rising junior and senior New York City public high school students. This summer, teen participants focused on the role of self-discovery in the artistic process. Drawing inspiration from works in Noguchi Subscapes and Isamu Noguchi’s interest in looking at the inner recesses of the self, students explored multiple aspects of their own creativity, self-expression, and personal growth through sculpture.

For more information about this program, contact education@noguchi.org.

Making Your Mark is supported by the Windgate Foundation Art Education Fund, endowed with a major gift by the Windgate Foundation. Major support is provided by The Pierre and Tana Matisse Foundation, with generous support from an anonymous donor. The program is also supported, in part, with public funds from the New York City Department of Cultural Affairs, in partnership with the City Council and from the New York State Council on the Arts with the support of the Office of the Governor and the New York State Legislature.
