TAB 2020–21

Teen Advisory Board members gather around Noguchi's 'Floor Frame' in Area 9 of the Museum

Virtual School Year Paid Internship for High School Students
Thursdays, 4:15 pm–5:30 pm

The Noguchi Museum’s Teen Advisory Board [TAB] is a virtual paid internship for high school students. Each year, TAB interns plan projects that promote dialogue and inclusivity at the Museum.

This year, TAB interns will become immersed in social justice issues using Isamu Noguchi’s art and the art of others as the basis for sparking discussion on identity and racial inequities. Through learning about the social role of art, TAB interns will collaborate on a final printed project promoting anti-racist activism.

TAB interns are paid a $500 stipend for the school year, receiving $250 at both the midpoint and end of the program. The Teen Advisory Board is open to 10th–12th graders attending New York City high schools. TAB meets every Thursday from 4:15 pm–5:30 pm, starting November 5, 2020 to May 6, 2021. Meetings will take place through Zoom. Students should have access to a computer, smart phone, or tablet with a microphone and internet access. High school students who are interested in joining TAB must complete and submit the TAB application no later than Wednesday, October 28, 2020.
