Hands-On at Noguchi: Stone Carving Studio

Saturday, May 4, 2019 - 1:00pm - 5:00pm

Stone Carving Studio is a drop-in art-making program for adults (18 and older) who are interested in exploring stone carving techniques at their own pace. Participants work in the Museum’s studio, which is equipped with basic hand tools such as chisels, hammers, rasps, and sandpaper. Educators will be available to demonstrate safety instructions, tools, and processes for beginners. First-time attendees may purchase a stone from the Museum to use during the studio. Attendees who have participated in a previous class have the option to continue working on their stone stored at the Museum. No advance registration is required, and spaces are available on a first-come, first-served basis. Fee includes Museum admission and is payable upon arrival.

Stone and Studio fee: $25 members, $35 non-members
Studio only fee: $15 members, $25 non-members
