Members’ Talk and Art-Making Workshop: Isamu Noguchi’s Paris Abstractions

Current members are invited to a talk led by Matthew Kirsch, Curator of Research and Digital Content, to learn about Isamu Noguchi’s experiences in Paris in the 1920s and his abstract drawings of that period. Then, learn introductory drawing techniques with educator Luned Palmer and design your own abstractions.

Members’ Talk and Art-Making Workshop: Isamu Noguchi’s Bollingen Journey

5:30 pm-7 pm
Current members are invited to a talk led by Matthew Kirsch, Curator of Research and Digital Content, to learn about Noguchi’s travels through Europe and Asia between 1949–50. Then, learn introductory drawing techniques with educator Luned Palmer and draw from a photograph to illustrate a scene from one of your travels. We will end with a group reflection sharing our drawings.
