Aluminum
All my aluminum sculptures were made of sheet aluminum as supplied by ALCOA. Shoji Sadao, whom I had met through Bucky Fuller and with whom I was to begin a long association, came to help me, and together we devised ways to score and bend the aluminum with Edison Price’s metal brakes. There was no welding, only bending of a single sheet. To accomplish this, I would first make small paper models.
