The Noguchi Museum Archives is proud to participate in artist Pedro Reyes’s presentation Zero Nukes at Frieze New York 2022, part of Amnesia Atómica NYC.

Reyes’s installation of archival materials on Level 4 of The Shed features contributions to the disarmament movement by artists and activists in the 20th century, including documentation of Isamu Noguchi’s antinuclear sentiments and focus on his travels to Hiroshima and design proposals for Memorial to the Dead, Hiroshima (1952) and Memorial to the Atomic Dead (1982).

The Noguchi Museum’s presentation is organized by Janine Biunno, Head of Archives. Amnesia Atómica NYC: Zero Nukes is presented in collaboration with Bulletin of the Atomic Scientists and the International Campaign to Abolish Nuclear Weapons (ICAN).
