Isamu Noguchi: Sculpting the World

Isamu Noguchi is the first European touring retrospective of Isamu Noguchi’s work in twenty years. It is jointly organized and curated by Zentrum Paul Klee (Bern), Barbican Centre (London), and Museum Ludwig (Köln), in partnership with LaM – Lille Métropole Musée d’art moderne, d’art contemporain et d’art brut.

Arranged in thematic chapters, this major exhibition explores Noguchi as a global citizen, who spent his time between the United States, Japan, and Europe and combined different cultural traditions and techniques in his incomparable body of work.

The presentation at LaM, on the occasion of its 40th anniversary, is the final stop on the tour and the first major retrospective for Isamu Noguchi in France. Learn more at musee-lam.fr.
