Bang on a Can Music Series: Balún

Friday, September 6, 2019
6 pm–7 pm
Free

Balún is a Brooklyn-based, self-proclaimed “dreambow” group whose members hail from Puerto Rico. Island culture remains the cornerstone of their forward-thinking, malleable sound. Balún incorporates Caribbean rhythms, old school dembow, glitchy IDM and dreamy dance pop into tunes that are slick and modern but firmly rooted in the traditional sounds of their homeland. balunonline.com

Presented in partnership with Bang on a Can, this innovative performance series is held in the Museum’s outdoor sculpture garden. In case of rain or artist’s preference, concerts take place in the galleries.

Closing out the summer 2019 season, this evening performance is free as part of Free First Friday. Seating is available on garden benches and floor mats on a first-come, first-served basis.

Beer for the 2019 Artists at Noguchi | Bang on a Can music series is generously provided by Big aLICe Brewing Co.
