Digital Membership Cards

The Noguchi Museum is pleased to announce new digital membership cards. These new membership cards are a convenient, eco-friendly alternative to traditional plastic cards.

Once you download your new digital membership card to your mobile wallet, you can access information about your membership such as expiration date and your unique member discount code, as well as convenient quick links to our website. Your card also automatically updates when you renew.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is a digital membership card? 
Your digital membership card contains all the same information as a plastic membership card, and more. Your membership level, expiration date, and Shop discount code are easily located on your card, which is stored in the “wallet” of your smartphone. Additional information about member benefits and visiting the Museum is included on the card for quick and easy reference.

When will I receive my digital membership card?
After joining, please allow up to 3–5 business days for your membership card to be generated and checked over by our staff. For renewing members, your membership information on your card will update in 3–5 business days. You will not need to download a new digital membership card. If you need any information immediately, reach out to membership@noguchi.org.

How do I download my digital membership card?
When you join, you will receive an email with your new digital membership cards attached. Open this email on your smartphone, and follow the instructions prompted. For renewing members who have already downloaded a digital membership card, your member information on your card will update and you will not need to download a new card.

How do I add the digital membership card to my iPhone?
Open the email from your smartphone and click the “Download” button. Then click “Add to Wallet” and “Add” (in top left corner). The card will automatically save in your iPhone’s Apple Wallet and can be accessed there at any time. The Apple Wallet is an app visible on your home screen titled “Wallet.”

How do I add the membership card to my Android phone?
Android users should download Wallet Passes from Google Play. Once the app is installed, access the membership email from your smartphone and click “Download.” Your digital membership card will automatically save to your Wallet Passes app, where it can be accessed at any time.

I downloaded my card but I can’t find it.
If you have an iPhone, the card will automatically download to Apple Wallet. Check the “Wallet” app for your new card (scroll through any cards or passes that are already there). If you have an Android, you’ll need to download Wallet Passes from the Play Store prior to downloading the card.

How do I update my information, if it is incorrect?
If any information on the card is incorrect, please contact membership@noguchi.org, and we will fix the issue. The change should be automatically reflected on your digital membership card once changed in our system.

I’d prefer not to use this digital membership card. What should I do?
Please contact membership@noguchi.org, and we would be happy to mail you a membership card and materials.

I don’t have a mobile phone. What can I do?
Please contact membership@noguchi.org, and we would be happy to mail you a membership card and materials.

My family member is on this membership account also, how can they receive the card?
Memberships at the “Dual” level and above include two membership cards. If your family member was added as an additional member, and gave us their email address, they should receive their own email with their own membership card to download. If not, you can follow these steps to share a card:

Android
Navigate to the back of the card (tap on the small “i” on the front) and use the “Share Pass” button to send the card to your secondary member.

iOS (Apple)
Navigate to the back of the card (tap on the “…” button on the front), then tap on the share icon at the top right to send the card to your secondary member.

If you are an iOS user, you will find the share icon at the top right on the back of the card.
