Noguchi Talks | Poet Kay Ryan reading from her new Book 'Erratic Facts' and talking about rocks

Monday, November 2, 2015 - 6:30pm - 8:00pm

'Erratic' is a geological term of art for boulders carried and deposited by glaciers--in manners and places so surprising as to have helped give rise to science itself. Kay Ryan's erratic facts, it may follow, are not stray pieces of trivia but displaced chunks of reality: momentous mysteries, with a rock-like solidity, capable of inspiring a sublimely productive wonder.

Kay Ryan is a former United States Poet Laureate and Pulitzer Prize winner who lives and writes in Northern California.

Her reading at The Noguchi Museum is being co-presented with the James Merrill House.

Please note that doors will open at 5:45pm for this event. The Museum will be closed during the day (for the Museum's regular hours, please see our Visitor Information page).
