Hands-On at Noguchi: Sculpting with Paper

Sunday, March 18, 2018 - 1:00pm - 5:00pm

Noguchi said his Akari light sculptures “seem to offer a magical unfolding away from the material world.” Spend time in the exhibition Sculpture by Other Means: Akari, and explore the unique qualities of paper as a medium to create three-dimensional form. Then join artist Stephanie Beck to score, fold, and cut paper to create geometric and organic sculptures, playing with positive and negative space.

Previous experience is not necessary. Space is limited and advance registration is required. Ages 18 and older. $10 members, $20 non-members. Program fee includes full admission to the Museum.
