Forming Ideas: Mixed Media Sculpture

In the 1940s, while simultaneously creating sculptures in wood, stone, and metal, Noguchi began making smaller works using more ephemeral and non-traditional materials, including paper, string, fabric, and light. Participants in this program will examine a selection of these objects currently featured in the Museum's Highlights from the Collection: Iconic Display exhibition and create their own mixed media works of art.
