The Isamu Noguchi Catalogue Raisonné
The Isamu Noguchi Foundation and Garden Museum is pleased to present The Isamu Noguchi Catalogue Raisonné, a new digital publication accessible free of charge.
Presented on this website, The Isamu Noguchi Catalogue Raisonné includes comprehensive information on all categories of Noguchi’s practice, encompassing sculptures, drawings, models, architectural spaces, stage sets, and manufactured designs, as well as a chronology, bibliography, and list of exhibitions.
The Isamu Noguchi Catalogue Raisonné is an ongoing project of The Noguchi Museum dedicated to documenting Isamu Noguchi’s complete oeuvre. As research progresses new chapters of information will be added to the site on an annual basis. Once complete, The Isamu Noguchi Catalogue Raisonné will be the first comprehensive record of the life and work of Isamu Noguchi, updating and considerably expanding upon the 1980 catalogue of sculpture by Nancy Grove and Dianne Botnick (Garland). In the meantime, the digital Isamu Noguchi Catalogue Raisonné presents complete entries for artworks, exhibitions, and literature where research has been finalized, as well as partial entries for anticipated content, identified as “research pending.” This progressive approach to publishing allows for research to continue while information presently known can be made available to the public for reference purposes.
The Isamu Noguchi Catalogue Raisonné is an ideal tool for scholars, educators, collectors, and arts professionals wishing to gain a refined knowledge of the life and work of Isamu Noguchi. To access the digital publication, please register for a free account. In addition to providing entrance to the site, your account will enable personalized tools such as bookmarking.
For questions and comments, please feel free to email the project at firstname.lastname@example.org.
