Place-Based: Drawing

In 1949, having proposed to create a book on environments of leisure with support from the Bollingen Foundation, Noguchi set out on a period of extensive travel, documenting his experiences through photography and drawing. During this workshop, participants will view a series of photographs Noguchi took over the course of two visits to India and drawings made while becoming acquainted with the people and culture of Indonesia. After, they will experiment with a variety of drawing media both in the Museum's galleries and studio.
