My Arizona

1943
Plastic
A recollection of seven months in an Arizona desert camp for Japanese-Americans at Poston near the Colorado River, where the hot sun shines interminably. John Collier, commissioner of Indian Affairs, had suggested that I might be useful in helping to plan landscape development for the camp, which I had entered voluntarily.
