Contoured Playground

1941 (cast 1963)
Metal
Contoured Playground was made in response to a statement by an assistant to Robert Moses, a Mr. Mulholland, that the city might build a playground in Central Park if it received a proposal that it was sure contained no elements that might cause injury to anyone. A test of this possibility was avoided by the imminence of war.
