The Noguchi Museum

The Noguchi Museum Curriculum Guide is designed to help elementary and high school educators bring key ideas from Noguchi's life and work into the classroom. The information in the Curriculum Guide is presented in a straight forward manner so you, the educator, can adapt it to meet the specific needs of your students. The Guide will also help you address the Benchmarks and Standards for the Arts as you become more comfortable viewing, discussing, analyzing and incorporating art into your teaching.

In addition to a Background and Biography section, the guide is divided into four grade-appropriate learning sections. Within each section, educators will find an introduction to the themes addressed within and four lesson plans along with related Noguchi images.

For samples of section introductions and lessons, click on the link appropriate to the level of the students that you teach.
