Beginning with Art Volunteer
Program Description
Beginning with Art is a six-session workshop that offers new families the opportunity to meet each other and to consider ways to engage children ages 2 and under. All sessions are one hour long.
There are two upcoming sessions of Beginning with Art for which we still need volunteers.
Beginning with Art I (For families with children ages 3-12 months)
- Session II: Fridays at 9am, April 5 - May 10
Beginning with Art II (For families with children ages 12-24 months)
- Session II: Thursdays at 9am, May 14 - June 18
Responsibilites
Beginning with Art volunteers assist babies and families as needed, help with set and clean, and help greet families upon arrival.
Time Commitment
We ask that volunteers commit to at least one full six-class session.
Qualifications
Experience with infants or small children, in a formal or informal setting.
Benefits
All volunteers who commit to at least 15 hours over a 6 month period receive benefits such as:
- A volunteer identification card; generally, other museums honor these ID cards by allowing the card-holder free admission
- An invitation to an annual holiday reception at The Noguchi Museum
